Job summary

The Word & Brown Companies is seeking a Business Analyst (BA 2) to analyze business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and work closely with IT to deliver solutions. You will participate in grooming, planning, and daily standups while ensuring scope aligns with budget and vision.

Strong written communication, 3+ years of PM experience, and familiarity with SDLC are required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected, with on-site work in California.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Describe and define business needs; assess necessity vs. optional.
• Ensure all requirements are identified, defined, and traceable.
• Conduct interviews with individuals and teams to capture requirements.
• Translate business needs into BRD-style requirements.
• Prioritize requirements and focus on key business needs.
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily scrums.
• Document testing scenarios and assist in smoke testing.
• Prepare user training materials as required.
• Manage deliverable deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
• Escalate roadblocks and support project planning and reporting.
