Job summary

Ampcus Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Business Analyst 4 to join our team on a primarily on-site basis. You will lead elicitation, requirements management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to modernize core Incident Management functionality.

The role demands strong communication, cloud/SaaS project experience, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable specifications, while guiding stakeholders through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills for large projects.
Extensive experience gathering and documenting business/IT requirements.
Ability to lead organizational change and adopt new approaches.
Proven track record delivering cloud-hosted SaaS projects.
Experience with requirements/development management tools.
Ability to document and analyze system processes clearly.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication across audiences.
Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid PM practices.
Ability to provide meaningful project health insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

Perform business analysis, elicit requirements, and manage stakeholders to meet objectives.
Verify requirements for completeness, consistency, and feasibility.
Create process models, specs, diagrams, and charts for developers.
Lead peer reviews of business requirements.
Track and govern requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate changes to PMs, sponsors, and stakeholders.
Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders and development teams.
Coordinate with BA, Data Analysts, and Governance teams to align needs.
Develop and conduct user acceptance tests and validation meetings.
