Job summary

Quest Global in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Data Analyst to mine, analyze, and transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive decision-making. You will design data solutions, create visualizations, and present findings to stakeholders, helping KPIs and dashboards come to life.

The role requires 7+ years of analytics experience, a strong foundation in statistics, data storytelling, Design thinking, and Lean thinking, with a hybrid work arrangement and travel around 10% as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma training and certification, Greenbelt/Blackbelt preferred.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Identify relevant data sources and assess data quality and applicability.
  • Data transformation: clean, manipulate, and structure large datasets for analysis.
  • Visualization and storytelling: create visualizations and presentations to convey findings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, visuals and dashboards.
  • Identify ways to optimize data collection, storage, and analysis efficiency.
  • Track and maintain the operation's business scorecard.
  • Share knowledge and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve project goals.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

What You Will Do
  • Identify relevant data sources and assist in analyzing data quality and applicability.
  • Data Transformation: Clean, manipulate, and structure large datasets for analysis.
  • Visualization & Storytelling: Create compelling visualizations and presentations to convey complex findings.
  • Collaborate with department/function experts to define KPIs, visualizations and dashboards.
  • Identify and implement ways to optimize data collection, storage, and analysis efficiency.
  • Track, maintain and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard.
  • Share knowledge and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve project goals.
  • Other responsibilities as required.
What You Will Bring
  • 7+ years’ experience as a data analyst, including experience leading projects in supply chain businesses.
  • Experience with data storytelling and distilling complex information into understandable ideas.
  • Experience with Design thinking and Lean thinking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Lean Six Sigma training and certification, Greenbelt/Blackbelt (preferred).
  • Statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and experience with Big Data technologies (desired).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to tailor presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data pipelines and warehousing.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically about data and identify trends and anomalies.

Pay Range: $45 - $49 per hour

Work Requirements

We offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies. This position is located in Grand Rapids, MI and is considered a hybrid role. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

Travel Requirements

Due to the nature of the work, 10% of travel is required.
