Job summary

Starr Insurance Companies seeks a Senior Business Analyst to join its global claims operations team. You will leverage insurance expertise, analytics, and cross-cultural communication to optimize workflows, drive improvements, ensure compliance, and support multinational claims and reinsurance initiatives across international markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in operations analysis within insurance or financial services.
  • Experience in multinational exposure and cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document global multinational claims requirements, including new systems functionality, system enhancements, and workflows for all international regions.
  • Define and enhance existing operations workflows and cross-departmental engagements for both short- and long-term processes.
  • Manage the reconciliation of monthly data for multinational claims, ensuring data accuracy and maintenance requirements are met.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis related to audit deficiencies, metrics, KPIs, and SLA results; propose corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Global Solutions Management, Multinational teams, Reinsurance, Home Office, regional Operations, and IT to support Reinsurance System integrations.
  • Record and maintain claims data within the claims management system, ensuring up-to-date and compliant records.
  • Collaborate with Reinsurance Accounting to facilitate multinational claims payments issuance and reconciliation.
  • Analyze and monitor operational performance across countries/regions for continuous improvement.
  • Produce insights through data visualization, dashboards, and detailed reports for senior management.
  • Guide and mentor operations team members on process improvement and industry best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting multinational insurance programs.

Position Title: Senior Business Analyst (Multi-national)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our global claim operations team. In this key role, you will use your insurance industry expertise, analytical skills, and cross-cultural communication capabilities to optimize workflows, drive process enhancements, ensure compliance, and support complex claims and reinsurance initiatives across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Skills and Competencies
  • System and process-oriented thinker; effective problem solver who can manage multiple, complex initiatives and balance strategic projects with hands-on execution.
  • High attention to detail, with proven ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, advanced data analysis, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance operations, underwriting, and reinsurance processing.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years’ experience in operations analysis within the insurance or financial services industry, ideally with multinational exposure. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
