Description du poste

Senior Business Agility & Operating Model Consultant (Active Secret Clearance Required)

The Scrum Inc. Consulting Group exists to help our clients achieve their business outcomes by designing and implementing Agile operating models that enable high-impact and sustained results. We do this by partnering with organizations to drive beneficial and lasting transformation, leveraging our deep expertise in organizational design, strategy execution, and operational agility. Our clients engage us because our approach is not just about implementing frameworks like Scrum; it is about transforming how organizations operate to deliver consistent, measurable value. Agility isn’t the outcome; it’s how you get there.

Role Description

We value your strategic acumen, execution capability, and ability to drive meaningful change as a Senior Business Agility & Operating Model Consultant. You should have experience guiding executives and organizations in designing and implementing effective operating models, balancing both strategic vision and hands‑on execution. This includes advising leadership on strategic and operational priorities, governance and decision‑making structures, and portfolio‑level agility while also working alongside teams to ensure execution. You are passionate about bridging strategy and execution, shaping the future of business agility, and driving measurable impact at scale.

As a trusted partner to our clients, we have a shared equity in their outcomes and your approach must reflect this accountability. Our consultants spend approximately 75% of their time on‑site with clients, though flexibility may be required based on client needs. When not on‑site, we remain engaged and accountable in a virtual work mode.

In addition to delivering value to clients, this role requires strong leadership in client portfolio management, business development, engagement profitability, and strategic account growth to ensure sustained impact for our clients and Scrum Inc. You will also be responsible for leading and developing high‑performing teams, mentoring junior consultants, and ensuring alignment between client needs and our consulting capabilities, evolving our offerings in response to market shifts.

Clearance and Eligibility
  • An active Secret clearance is required on day one of this engagement.
Key Responsibilities

As part of our consulting team, you:

  • Help clients design and implement Agile operating models, organizational effectiveness strategies, and enterprise‑wide transformation approaches.
  • Develop and execute enterprise Agile operating models and change strategies that align with overall business strategy and optimize value delivery across the organization.
  • Build effective relationships with, earn the trust of, and support a wide range of stakeholders from C‑suite to delivery leads.
  • Communicate with clarity and executive presence, effectively articulating complex ideas, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring alignment across all levels of an organization.
  • Optimize value delivery by assessing and understanding organizational structures, governance models, decision‑making frameworks, processes and culture in order to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design, build, and execute strategic organizational processes (such as strategic planning, budgeting, procurement) to unlock Agility while maintaining the minimum viable bureaucracy.
  • Align agile practices with business operations, ensuring seamless integration with finance, HR, risk management, and compliance functions.
  • Design and deliver tailored strategies to help clients solve complex problems and challenges.
  • Define and implement key business and performance metrics to measure progress and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the scaling of Agile across the organization, applying Agile principles to corporate strategy, product development, and service delivery.
  • Develop high‑quality deliverables that demonstrate strategic insight and execution capability, ensuring organizations have actionable roadmaps for transformation.
  • Lead business development and account growth efforts, ensuring engagement profitability and fostering long‑term partnerships with clients.
  • Drive innovation and bold decision‑making, demonstrating confidence in shaping solutions and taking calculated risks that accelerate transformation.
  • Lead and develop high‑performing teams as a decisive, accountable leader, mentoring consultants and fostering a culture of trust, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
The Person We Are Looking For:
Experience & Mindset
  • Experience delivering transformation in defense, federal, or other highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading teams and developing talent, fostering high performance and continuous growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and expand a portfolio of business, driving engagement growth, profitability, and long‑term client relationships.
  • Track record of delivering measurable and sustainable improvements in large, complex organizations, aligning business agility with strategic outcomes.
  • Significant experience advising senior executives and leadership teams, effectively shaping strategy and decision‑making at the enterprise level.
  • Outcome‑driven mindset: favors results over rigid practices, with a pragmatic approach to Agile transformation that aligns to business needs.
  • Strong systems thinking and strategic problem‑solving skills, particularly in enterprise operating models and Agile program management.
  • Proven ability to redefine operating models and drive organizational agility, ensuring both strategic direction and tactical execution align for successful transformation efforts.
Key Attributes
  • Bold & Confident: You take initiative, embrace challenges, and lead with conviction, inspiring confidence in clients and teams alike.
  • Innovative & Risk‑Taker: You push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and drive transformation by experimenting with new ideas and approaches.

  • Decisive & Accountable Leader: You make informed decisions quickly, take ownership of outcomes, and ensure that the team stays aligned on priorities.
