Job summary

Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) is hiring a permanent, full-time Senior Bus Driver to oversee Bus Driver teams and training, with a focus on safe, efficient daily transit operations in the North Lake Tahoe area.

The role requires a valid Class A or B license with passenger endorsements and related transit certification plans, plus DOT drug clearance and background checks. A wage premium may apply for Tahoe branch assignments.

Qualifications

• Two years of responsible journey level experience as a Bus Driver.
• Direct supervision experience or training responsibilities are a plus.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and transit operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to Bus Drivers, including staff training and directing day-to-day operations.
• Ensure adherence to DOT and safety requirements and coordinate shift coverage.
