Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. in Boise, ID is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate large production earthmoving equipment on heavy civil construction projects, primarily CAT D9 and D10 bulldozers for rock push and mass excavation.

You will collaborate with excavators, haul trucks, loaders, and other heavy equipment, perform pre- and post-operation inspections, maintain production targets, and comply with all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating large bulldozers in heavy civil construction, mining, quarry, or large earthwork projects.
• Demonstrated experience operating CAT D9 and D10 dozers or equivalent.
• Experience performing rock push operations in high-production environments.
• Ability to work safely around excavators, haul trucks, scrapers, and other heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of production earthmoving techniques and maintaining steady material movement to meet project schedules.
• Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Strong understanding of site safety requirements and safe equipment operation on varying terrain and conditions.
• Valid driver's license required; OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities
