Qualifications

• Five years or more as a building official or plans examiner.
• Knowledge and application of plan review and construction processes.
• Experience in interpreting and applying building codes.
• Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes.
• Good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage Building Department operations for assigned client agency.
• Consult with professionals on construction and building code issues.
• Perform field inspections on all phases of construction.
• Issue Certificates of Occupancy.
• Create and maintain reports and inspection logs.
