Job summary

Idaho Division of Veterans Services at the Boise Veterans Home is seeking a Maintenance Craftsman Senior for a full-time role. The job involves skilled carpentry, plumbing, and electrical maintenance, with emphasis on building systems and safety.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance.
• Some knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems maintenance
• Building codes knowledge

Responsibilities

• Electrical: assist journeyman electricians in new installations and repairs.
• Plumbing: assist journeyman plumbers in installation and remodeling; maintain fixtures and systems.
• General maintenance: perform preventive maintenance on building devices and systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics; sketch from instructions to design and build items.
• Snow removal and grounds maintenance; safety inspections and on-call as needed.
