Job summary

Meta is seeking a Lead Building Engineer to join its Data Center Critical Facility Operations team in Henrico, Virginia. You will provide senior-level technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and controls systems within a critical facility, driving uptime and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, develop SOPs and PM programs, oversee maintenance, analyze performance via BMS, and conduct root cause analyses while collaborating with vendors on capital projects and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Senior-level technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and controls systems in a data center environment.
• Experience leading maintenance programs, SOPs, EOPs, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to manage planned/unplanned work safely and in compliance with change-control and uptime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical resource for data center facility operations.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of SOPs, EOPs, and preventive maintenance.
• Oversee maintenance activities and ensure safety and change-control adherence.
• Mentor engineers and technicians on best practices, equipment operation, and safety.
• Analyze system performance via building management systems to identify faults.
• Lead root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders on capital projects and commissioning.
