Job summary

Intertek seeks a Building Enclosure Senior Project Manager to lead commissioning projects and grow the Building Science Solutions team in Seattle, WA (Kent). The role combines technical enclosure expertise with client development, mentoring, and strategic growth, with travel up to 25% outside the local area.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in enclosure consulting (or 10+ years with no degree), strong technical writing, and project leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Architectural Engineering and 7+ years’ experience in Building Enclosure consulting.
• Alternatively 10+ years of Building Enclosure consulting experience in lieu of the degree.
• Strong understanding of building enclosure systems and construction.
• Experience managing a range of small to large projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% outside the local area.

Responsibilities

• Provide and lead building enclosure commissioning projects.
• Train staff in BECx process and requirements.
• Provide enclosure consulting, commissioning, and design/construction phase services.
• Conduct building enclosure investigations and remedial repair designs.
• Prepare proposals for potential new work.
• Assist in meeting profit center financial goals.
• Prepare deliverables including proposals and technical reports.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring.
• Assist in hiring/training local and national team members.
• Help grow the local office by balancing workloads and bringing in new work.
• Participate in professional organizations and conferences.
