Engineering Consulting Service is seeking a Senior Technician to join our building science and infrastructure team. The role involves performing field tasks and observations independently, or leading a team on projects of moderate complexity, with emphasis on accuracy and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of related field experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to train junior staff.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate/tech degree preferred.
• Professional certifications are highly preferred (NRCA, IIBEC, AWCI EIFS Inspector, ICC).
• Certifications required for all testing; maintain trainings and at least one advanced certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tasks and observations on projects of moderate complexity or lead a field team.
• Test and observe new construction, building science, and infrastructure-related services.
• Communicate daily with ECS staff, clients, and site representatives.
• Attend project meetings and document test results and observations in reports.
• Calibrate and maintain field equipment; manage inventory and report broken items.
• Potentially train and mentor other ECS technicians.
• Perform incidental office or lab tasks as needed.
