Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Service Specialist III in the Building Automation field for the Columbus, OH area. You will coordinate and execute field-service work for building management systems, supporting installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer communication to drive progress.

You will lead on-site activities, mentor junior staff, and develop multi-year upgrade plans, while collaborating with project teams and customers to deliver energy-savings solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of field-service experience as a Service Specialist or similar role.
• Experience with HVAC and security installations.
• Familiarity with building systems and Schneider Electric technology.
• Strong communication skills for direct work with customers and project teams.
• Ability to coordinate on-site work under supervision of Field Service Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform field-service work for building management systems.
• Support project coordination, safety, installation, checkout, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot, load, test, and start up system databases and building systems.
• Manage maintenance agreements and perform warranty work.
• Coordinate on-site activities with project teams, subcontractors, and customers.
• Provide on-site customer training and propose system improvements.
• Develop multi-year customer upgrade plans and budgets.
• Collaborate with customers on energy-savings or building-analytics solutions.
• Engineer small to medium projects, including upgrades.
• Lead resolution of project deficiencies and mentor junior staff.
