Job summary

MMR Consulting is seeking a Pharmaceutical - Siemens Desigo / Insight Building Automation Engineer USA to design, execute, and commission process systems for biopharmaceutical facilities. The role requires leadership to mentor junior engineers, vendors, and contractors, and will involve coordinating across disciplines.

The candidate will work on design, project management, and commissioning activities, including URS/FRS reviews, FAT/SAT support, and QA/QC.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English is required including the preparation of technical documents in English.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements for pharma/biotech facilities, with a basic understanding of SOPs, Validation, Change Controls.
• Knowledge of GAMP and data integrity requirements.
• Engineering degree, preferably in Electrical, Electromechanical, Controls, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years pharma BAS experience; 3+ years building controls experience with BAS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance into the design, project management, commissioning and start-up of automation systems for upgrades, renovations and expansions of client facilities and processes.
• Support project execution from Feasibility through project completion/handover, including all stages: Feasibility, Concept Design, Basic Design, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, Project Monitoring/Governance, Commissioning & Qualification.
• Lead/mentor junior engineers, equipment vendors, and contractors.
• Prepare/review URS, FRS, SDS, DDS, Valve & Alarm Matrices.
• Review programming of equipment vendors and other automation firms.
• Perform automation/electrical troubleshooting on electrical panels and control systems.
• Travel to client sites and coordinate cross-functional meetings.
• Visit construction and installation sites; supervise contractors during critical installations.
• Comply with client safety rules including vaccination policies where applicable.
• Support business development with technical input for proposals/opportunities.
