Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking a Senior Building Controls Technician to design, program, configure, test, and commission building automation systems. The role involves working independently to meet project requirements with limited supervision and frequent travel.

Primary work will be in Washington D.C. area projects, with assignment to the Leesburg headquarters for coordination. Candidates should be capable of supervising subcontractors and educating junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, configuring, and testing Direct Digital Control (DDC) building automation and control systems.
• Ability to design and engineer control system hardware and software based on project plans and documents.
• Experience with system commissioning and functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project plans and specifications.
• Program projects with varying levels of complexity.
• Perform network and database troubleshooting and repair programming.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on system configuration, network, graphics, programming, and sequences of operations.
• Develop and configure sequences of operations, programming, graphics, database, network, and integrations into third-party systems.
• Maintain project documentation and redlines.
• Provide owner training as required by the project.
• Execute system commissioning and functional testing.
• Assist in installation of control hardware.
• Startup and commission new hardware installations.
• Provide project management assistance and interface with customers.
• Supervise sub-contractors and suppliers as needed.
• Educate lower-level technicians through on-the-job training.
