Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced engineer/product leader to build and scale AI-powered experiences across app, cloud, and devices. You will drive ideation, define requirements, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused features with GenAI capabilities.

You will leverage LLMs and AI coding tools to shape strategy, analyze data, and validate UX concepts, while championing the voice of the customer from ideation to launch.

Qualifications

Job description

Key job responsibilities

• Build rapid functional prototypes and launch new features using AI-coding tools (e.g., Cursor) and Git workflows to enable deep exploration and reviews of product ideas, user experiences, and technical feasibility.
• Drive ideation and early feature validation through automated analysis of internal data, marketplace and competitive research.
• Lead engineering workstreams that span app, cloud, and device firmware, directing the technical work of multiple Builders and using GenAI tools to accelerate delivery with scalable, high-quality code.
• Lead product definition and requirements generation for new experiences with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, profitability, and operational support load.
• Proactively identify and resolve strategic and/or tactical issues that impair the teams' ability to meet goals.
• Lead next-generation connectivity, device power, and notification experiences.
• Identify and automate repetitive manual workflows for cross-functional teams using agentic workflows.
• Define AI-native systems and standards for product work across Ring — including how AI-generated output is validated and held to Amazon's quality bar — and sponsor AI transformation initiatives beyond your immediate team.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or product management, including developing AI-powered applications.
• Demonstrated experience using LLMs and AI coding tools (vibe-coding) for strategy definition, requirements gathering, data analysis, UX design, and iterative development.
• Demonstrated experience building applications that incorporate GenAI (e.g., LLM calls, RAG, Agentic workflows, evals, etc).
• Demonstrated ability to champion the voice of customer from idea to launch.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-team or cross-functional workstreams with multiple contributors and delivering measurable business-level outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience engaging with emerging/frontier AI capabilities before they are mainstream and developing them into shipped product.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
