Job description

This position performs professional accounting work with responsibility for accounting and/or budgeting functions. Position applies knowledge of the theory and practice of recording, classifying, examining, and analyzing data and records of financial transactions. Work requires knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and terminology of accountancy.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate’s degree in Accounting; or Associate’s degree in Business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications

The position must be extremely accurate with figures; must have the ability to interpret state fiscal regulations; must have very good analytical ability and the ability to prepare various accounting reports;must have considerable knowledge of accounting/budgetary principles and practices.
