The Ohio Turnpike & Infrastructure Commission in Berea, OH seeks an experienced Bridge & Structures Engineer to manage the bridge inventory and oversee reconstruction projects. You will coordinate with external agencies and lead bridge-related design and inspection activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an Ohio PE license.
• FHWA bridge inspection training completion is required or must be completed.
• ODOT Level 1 Bridge Design Engineer Certification preferred.
• NIH Bridge Inspection Certification preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in RFP writing and reviews for bridge rehabilitation projects.
• Coordinate and review construction plans for constructability and code compliance.
• Develop construction and materials specifications for bridge projects.
• Provide project management for bridge and structural projects including pre-construction meetings.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure conformance to contracts.
