ATCS's Construction Services group is expanding in Virginia. We are seeking Senior Bridge Inspectors to join our Culpeper-area team, with extensive experience inspecting bridges using engineering skills to assess structural soundness and compliance with NBIS and related regulations.

This role is based in Culpeper, VA and surrounding areas down to Charlottesville, with travel within Virginia expected. A Bachelor's in engineering is preferred but not required; strong communication skills and a

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of bridge inspections by collecting reports and data, equipment, and routes.
• Perform inspection work of bridges and foundations for structural integrity and safety as per NBIS and FHWA standards.
• Compile necessary reports for Inspection Team Leaders to review.
• Research site conditions and infrastructure to ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
• Receive direction from Team Leaders, Project Managers or senior technical staff.

Job description

ATCS's Construction Services group is expanding in Virginia! We are looking for Senior Bridge Inspectors to join our team in the Culpeper area. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in inspecting bridges and similar structures using engineering skills to determine structural soundness and compliance with NBIS, and other local, state and federal regulations.

This work is in Culpeper, VA and the surrounding areas extending down to Charlottesville.

Bridge Inspector Duties Include

• Support preparation of bridge inspections by collecting bridge reports and data, gathering equipment, coordinating inspection routes, etc.
• Perform inspection work of bridges and foundations as required for structural integrity, general safety, ensuring continued compliance to specifications and codes (such as National Bridge Inspection Standards and FHWA bridge inspection metrics).
• Compile necessary reports for Inspection Team Leaders to review
• Conduct research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, infrastructure, and transportation channels, etc. to determine compliance with rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.
• Receive additional direction from Team Leaders, Project Managers or other senior-level Technical staff.

Basic Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is desired but not required
• Previous bridge construction inspection training or certifications desired
• Willingness to travel within Virginia
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Valid Drivers' License

Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $19.23 to $50 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
