Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Sr. Manager Engineer – Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia to lead the bridge inspection and maintenance program, directing staff, consultants, and resources toward robust data foundations for capital planning and operational decisions.

You will serve as a technical and administrative hub, translating inspection findings into risk-based maintenance plans and ensuring alignment with regulatory and engineering standards in a maturing program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
• 9+ years of relevant work experience.
• PE registration is preferred.
• Experience with bridge management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bridge inspection programs and maintenance strategies.
• Oversee consultant and contractor inspections (routine, special, underwater, emergency).
• Ensure compliance with FRA regulations and safety standards.
• Modernize bridge inventory with asset-management systems.
• Coordinate with divisions for cross-functional collaboration.
