Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Senior Bridge Engineer for the Akron, Ohio area to support a growing portfolio of major projects. You will perform bridge engineering design tasks, lead on disciplines, and guide CAD teams while focusing on quality and innovation.

The role requires 8+ years in bridge design, a BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, and a PE licensure is highly preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and Microstation/AutoCAD is essential.

Qualifications

• 8 years or more of related work experience with bridge engineering design.
• BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis is required.
• MS in Structural Engineering is desirable.
• PE licensure is highly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office and Microstation or AutoCAD.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standard and specialty bridge design and analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.
• May be assigned to a project/team or as lead engineer for a discipline on small to intermediate projects.
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and junior Engineers.
• Commit to quality and continuous improvement through innovation and better results.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with employees, clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.

• May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.

• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results.

• Establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders.

What Qualifications You'll Bring:

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
