Job summary

Halmar International seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations for the Golden Gate Bridge Seismic Retrofit Project. You will plan, coordinate, and manage daily construction activities for complex heavy civil and bridge retrofit work, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires extensive bridge construction and seismic retrofit experience, including marine operations, steel erection, and large-scale infrastructure management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in CM, CE, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of heavy civil construction experience including 5 years in a Superintendent role.
• Experience in bridge construction, rehabilitation, or seismic retrofit projects is required.
• Knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and quality control processes.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schedules, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all field construction activities for assigned project areas.
• Coordinate daily operations of subcontractors, craft labor, equipment, and materials.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term work plans to meet milestones.
• Ensure work complies with specifications, safety regs, and quality standards.
• Conduct daily coordination meetings with field staff, subcontractors, and project management.
