Shield AI is seeking a Staff Web Designer, UI/UX for an onsite role in Washington, DC. This position sits on the Marketing team and translates strategy into cohesive visual systems across brand touchpoints.

The role entails leading high-visibility design work, collaborating across writers, designers, video teams, and external partners, and delivering polished campaigns under tight timelines. Requires a strong portfolio and 6+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional design experience with integrated brand campaigns.
• Expert command of visual design: typography, composition, color, imagery, and art direction.
• Ability to translate campaign strategy and briefs into distinctive concepts and scalable visual systems.
• Experience designing campaigns across digital, social, advertising, events, presentations, and other brand touchpoints.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Strong presentation skills to explain and defend creative decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Experience directing work produced by designers, agencies, and production partners.

Responsibilities

• Turn campaign strategy and creative direction into distinctive concepts and scalable visual systems across digital, social, events, presentations, advertising, and other brand touchpoints.
• Partner from early concept development through visual exploration, production, and launch.
• Contribute to briefs, develop campaign ideas, establish visual direction, and convert approved concepts into clear systems for other designers and external partners to execute.
• Own high-visibility design work, providing direction, feedback, and hands-on support across the broader campaign.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, video teams, marketers, and external partners to connect messaging and visuals, solve creative problems, and stay on brand as requirements evolve.
• Switch between concept and execution, present and defend thinking, and deliver polished work under tight deadlines.
• Raise the creative standard across Shield AI by ensuring campaigns feel clear, cohesive, and unmistakably on brand.
