Job summary

Mammoth Distribution, based in North Hollywood, CA, is seeking a Creative Manager to lead an in-house team and elevate the creative standard across a portfolio of cannabis brands. The role blends hands-on design with strategic direction across packaging, campaigns, retail, and experiential touchpoints.

The ideal candidate has a strong CPG background, expertise in packaging, and experience guiding teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CPG brand experience with a portfolio showing campaign thinking across channels.
• Hands-on packaging design; ability to guide from concept to production files.
• Experience leading an in-house creative team in a fast-moving environment.
• Advanced design craft with ability to contribute to work directly.
• Art direction of photography and video from briefing to post-production.
• Experience in cannabis or other regulated consumer categories.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the visual expression of the Mammoth portfolio brands.
• Review priority creative before it ships to ensure polish and accuracy.
• Translate strategy and consumer insights into clear visual concepts.
• Partner with Marketing and leadership to convert feedback into direction.
• Present work clearly, connect to objectives, and propose next steps.
• Concept, design, refine, or art-direct high-visibility projects.
• Provide specific feedback to improve hierarchy and storytelling.
• Manage workflow from brief to handoff.
• Prioritize work against business impact and deadlines.
• Build scalable templates and asset libraries to speed production.
• Coach designers with clear expectations and critique.
• Surface tradeoffs early and protect the team from rework.
