Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior Business Planning and Analysis Analyst to own commercial and financial analysis for the West Division, focusing on the Clean Products P&L, and to provide insight for product placement decisions and logistics services.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting, 6+ years of experience, and strong MS Office skills; SAP, Business Warehouse, RightAngle experience; Power BI or Tableau preferred; oil and gas

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or related field.
SAP, Business Warehouse and RightAngle experience preferred.
Oil and Gas, Downstream or Energy experience strongly preferred.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred.
Experience creating and presenting to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Conducts detailed business unit / value chain / commercial operational and financial analysis.
Assists in development and presentation of divisional business plans, forecasts, results and budgets.
Develops advanced financial models to monitor KPIs and performance metrics.
Collaborates with leadership and cross-functional teams for analytical needs.
Seeks process improvements and automation to enable deeper analysis.
Monitors and maintains key data elements for transfer pricing.
