The role focuses on protecting America's borders by enforcing immigration and customs laws, and apprehending unauthorized entrants while coordinating with other agencies. Assigned across USBP sectors, the position starts at a GS-13 salary of $109,383 to $142,199 per year, with potential salary offset options and expedited pre-employment processing.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in law enforcement or related work demonstrating the ability to make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms.
• Experience interpreting and enforcing immigration laws and developing case work pertaining to investigations.
• Must meet eligibility criteria including Time-in-Grade requirements, background checks, and Spanish language proficiency.

• Detect, apprehend, and deter undocumented individuals and smugglers; perform patrols and inspections.
