Barnes & Noble in Wayne, NJ seeks a Senior Bookseller to welcome customers, share book knowledge, and guide readers to the right titles and products. You will help train team members, lead by example in sales and merchandising, and keep the store inviting and well-presented while helping at the registers.
You’ll participate in store operations, assist with receiving and shelving, and support the café team when needed.
A Barnes & Noble bookstore is a gathering place for readers and the community. As a Senior Bookseller, you are an integral member of the bookselling team at the heart of our stores. You welcome customers in a cheerful and helpful way by saying hello, answering questions, and consistently going out of your way to connect readers with the right titles and products. You are a go-to resource for other booksellers when they need help and guidance. You teach newer booksellers best practices, and you are comfortable providing informal feedback to peers when opportunities arise. Equally, you are an essential part of the bookstore team maintaining the attractive presentation of the store and in ensuring its efficient running. You work on our registers with enthusiasm, and you lead by example in recommending key titles or Membership benefits.

An employee in this position can expect an hourly rate starting at $19.00, depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
