Overview
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
What Youll Do
- Drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril’s product hardware across lifecycles by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Serve as the end-to-end owner of supply chain for the Anduril Intelligence & Space business line, responsible for engineering support, vendor onboarding and development, sourcing, pricing, and negotiating for the total Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Perform a deep dive into the engineering BOM to ensure parts can be sourced and procured at a reasonable target level.
- Conduct supplier selection for specific products, leveraging the approved supplier list and onboarding unique vendors as needed for Space & Intelligence needs.
- Drive on-time delivery by applying solutions to overcome traditional Space industry lead-times and constraints.
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as: concept scoping, requirements solidification, feature trade-off/trade tables, should-cost/clean-sheet models, joint design development with clear statements of work, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.
- Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers with high flexibility.
- Manage total program cost, including NPI and mass production, throughout the NPI lifecycle.
- Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
- Complete BOM risk assessments, including alternate component sourcing.
- Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production.
- Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization.
- Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues (e.g., tariffs, import/export costs, cost inflation) and supply issues as they arise to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost.
