Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an IT Software Developer IV for UIT's University Support Services.

You will develop and support custom student information system applications used by partners of the University of Utah, collaborating with web engineers, UI designers, product managers, and business partners to build secure, feature-rich applications for staff, faculty, and students. You will lead the migration from a WPF desktop application to a new Blazor-based web platform,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 8 years of related work experience or Master's with 6 years.
• IT Software Developer IV requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 8 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience.
• Experience with Blazor and migrating legacy WPF functionality to web architectures.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and API security.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and maintain Student Information System software used by partner colleges.
• Participate in all phases of the full software development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior developers and guide on technical approaches and code quality.
• Lead migration from WPF desktop to Blazor web platform.
• Design and implement system integrations with Canvas, Tableau, Salesforce, and others.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaboration with stakeholders.
