Job summary

Strategy is expanding its Bitcoin Security program with a focused offensive-security role in Tysons Corner, Virginia. This hands-on engineer will assess cryptographic key material, signing ceremonies, and custody controls across wallets, exchanges, and service providers.

The role requires 6+ years of offensive security, cryptography knowledge, and experience with Bitcoin protocol testing, tools, and report writing to raise security across the custody ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven offensive-security experience with cryptographic systems or blockchain.
• Strong knowledge of Bitcoin, wallets, and custody security.

Responsibilities

• Lead wallet, hardware, and protocol security testing for Bitcoin custody.
• Design adversarial simulations of signing ceremonies and custody workflows.
• Assess hardware wallets, HSMs, and secure elements for vulnerabilities.
• Test node, RPC, PSBT handling, and derivation-path validation for flaws.
• Produce reproducible reports with remediation guidance.
