The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an Open Rank-Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist to lead statistical analyses of clinical data in the Cape-Colorado-Combat (C3) Global Trauma Network Lab, focusing on trauma and emergency medicine research, mainly in South Africa.

The role requires independent work on campus in Aurora, CO and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required for research roles.
• Experience with biostatistics, epidemiology, or health data science.
• Strong publication record as co-author or collaborator.

Responsibilities

• Provide biostatistical expertise and leadership in study design, oversight, data management, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Collaborate with clinician-investigators and Emergency Medicine research staff to develop rigorous analytic plans addressing clinically relevant questions.
• Conduct advanced statistical analysis in SAS or R, including causal inference, survival, and longitudinal analyses.
• Produce high-quality visual representations of data and results.
• Communicate statistical methods and findings to a multi-disciplinary team.
• Co-author abstracts, posters, and manuscripts with team members.
• Mentor junior staff to strengthen data collection and curation practices.
• Develop subject-matter expertise and contribute to the lab's research direction.
