Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Senior Biostatistician to join the Global Health Economics & Reimbursement (GHER) Biostatistics team in Irvine, CA. You will design and execute real-world evidence studies, apply advanced statistical methods, and communicate insights to cross-functional partners to support patient access to Edwards’ cardiovascular technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or equivalent in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field. 2 years of previous analytical experience in clinical trials.
• Ph.D. or equivalent in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field with internship, senior projects, or thesis in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field.
• Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Data Science, Health Economics or related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in SAS and/or R, including data management, statistical programming, and production of high-quality analytic outputs.
• Strong foundation in applied statistics and observational research methods with the ability to select, implement, and explain appropriate analytic methods.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience designing and analyzing real-world evidence studies using healthcare claims, electronic health records, registries, administrative data, or linked clinical and real-world data.
• Knowledge of observational research methods, including confounding control, causal inference, missing-data methods, and sensitivity analyses.
• Experience with SQL, Python, version control, Tableau, Power BI, or related analytic and visualization tools.
• Experience contributing to peer-reviewed publications, conference abstracts, posters, or presentations.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality educational slide decks for HCP-facing programs, internal trainings, symposia and speaker-led sessions.
• Transform rough content into visually clear and polished presentations with consistent branding.
• Edit, refine and update existing slide libraries to maintain accuracy and messaging alignment.
• Conduct literature and publication searches to support content accuracy and evidence-based messaging.
• Prepare content for legal, regulatory, and medical review processes using Vault PromoMats; maintain version control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gather content inputs and translate them into deliverables.
• Support speaker-led programs by preparing materials and ensuring scientific accuracy.
• Prepare collateral and re-cap materials; contribute to metrics visuals and ensure asset organization in SharePoint.
• Engage KOLs to develop strategically aligned messages on EW programs.
• Create and manage training documents and educational tools from planning to execution.
• Develop tactics for local/region trainings and incorporate new methodologies into product launches.
• Measure effectiveness of educational tools and drive process improvements.
