Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a Sr. Biostatistician to assist investigators in designing and analyzing basic science and clinical studies. You will implement data management and reproducible analysis workflows, producing publishable tables and figures for proposals and manuscripts.

This at-will position is funded by grant funding with renewal options; 40 hours weekly and responsibilities include statistical guidance, interim analyses, and support for grant proposals and manuscripts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or Data Analytics.
• 2–5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Proficiency in Stata, R, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Provides statistical guidance in designing studies to answer scientific questions across basic science, clinical trials, and population studies.
• Advises investigators in collecting, managing and analyzing data; generates interim analysis and statistical reports.
• Assists in interpretation of results for reports and publications.
• Supports abstracts and manuscripts, including writing Statistical Methods sections.
• Develops workflows for data management and reproducible analysis.
• Produces publishable tables, charts and graphs for reports and grants.
• Writes statistical programs and reviews outputs for quality.
• Performs other related work as needed.
