Job summary

Alamar Biosciences seeks a manufacturing specialist to perform antibody processing and lyophilization for downstream production. The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, quality systems, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead with autonomy, mentor junior staff, support scheduling, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring calibration, maintenance, and compliance with ISO 13485 and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in Biology or Chemistry with 6+ years in reagents manufacturing.
• Lyophilization experience is highly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with autonomy and deliver results amid changing priorities.
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with manufacturing software, databases and data analytics tools.
• ISO 13485 and GMP environment experience a plus.
• ERP system experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform processing and conjugation of antibodies and lyophilization of critical components for downstream manufacturing.
• Formulate reagents in accordance with SOPs and Quality System regulations.
• Support production scheduling and assign job duties to team members.
• Lead training, mentoring, and coaching for junior staff.
• Address production issues and report compliance concerns promptly.
• Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment and instruments.
• Participate in transferring new products/processes from R&D to manufacturing.
• Initiate process improvement projects to boost productivity, quality, cost, or yield.
• Draft, review, or revise manufacturing documents and procedures.
• Assist in safety and quality inspections and enforce safe practices.
