Job summary

Merck seeks a Senior Specialist, Bioprocess Engineer to join our Center of Excellence in the Animal Health Corridor. You will lead end-to-end vaccine tech transfers, ensure regulatory and quality alignment, and mentor team members while driving process robustness post-transfer.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in biopharma/vaccine manufacturing, strong problem-solving, and the ability to manage cross-functional projects without direct reports. Hybrid work is available with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead regional vaccine tech transfers end-to-end across sites.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks ahead of transfers with data-driven action plans.
• Train and mentor new hires; support manufacturing, quality and governance.
• Ensure post-transfer process robustness through monitoring and collaboration.
