Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelors degree in biomedical electronics or related, or a combination of relevant training and experience.
• Minimum of two years work experience as a BMET, with manifest advanced skills and abilities for specific equipment areas.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of biomedical equipment systems.
• Apply electrical safety and medical safety principles.
• Interpret hospital codes, standards, and regulations relevant to biomed equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions using electronic circuit theory and operating principles.
• Use advanced electronic test and measurement instrumentation.
• Understand operation principles and safe clinical application of biomedical equipment.
• Utilize computer systems and applications in biomedical settings.
• Use tools and materials involved in repair and maintenance of biomedical equipment.

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
