Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to drive data strategy and analytics for WW FBA leadership. You will own end-to-end BI solutions, unify data frameworks, and build scalable semantic models across reporting surfaces and GenAI-enabled queries.

The role collaborates with product, program, and technology teams to modernize data platforms and empower self-service analytics with proactive monitoring and AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional or military experience.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 1+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience.
• 1+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience.
• 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience.
• 1+ years of developing automated reporting experience.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining.

Responsibilities

• Design and own unified dimensional frameworks with consistent metric definitions and calculation logic across reporting surfaces.
• Define metric hierarchies connecting inputs to business outputs with complete definitions and data mappings.
• Build scalable reporting tables and semantic models serving multiple use cases from a single governed source.
• Own end-to-end WBR/MBR reporting infrastructure across WW FBA regions with automated assembly and delivery.
• Build and maintain dashboards and self-service analytics to empower PMs and teams.
• Develop variance decomposition frameworks and root-cause analysis templates for leadership decisions.
• Translate business questions into analytical approaches with PMs, Ops, Finance and Science teams.
• Design analytics data models in lakehouse architecture (Redshift, S3, Spark) for recurring reporting and ad-hoc exploration.
• Own the semantic layer connecting raw data to business meaning with consistent definitions across consumers.
• Establish dimensional modeling standards to support GenAI Text-to-SQL apps.
• Build and maintain validated semantic models powering natural language query agents.
• Develop proactive alerting and anomaly detection to surface issues early.
• Mentor BAs across partner teams on leveraging governed analytics infrastructure.
