Job summary

Standard Motor Products is seeking a Senior BI/ETL Engineer to translate business needs into scalable BI designs, prototype iteratively, and enhance ETL routines into the Data Warehouse. You will build dashboards and scorecards, manage BI jobs, and fine-tune performance across data sources and 200+ million records.

Collaboration with analysts and security teams is essential. You will contribute to capacity planning, model development, and BI architecture documentation, ensuring data integrity

Qualifications

• 3–4 years in relational data modeling.
• 3–4 years with SQL Server BI Stack (SQL Server, RDMS, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI Desktop/Pro/RS).
• 3–4 years writing DAX for Power BI & Analysis Services.
• Experience with flat files and databases (Fixed Width, CSV, SQL Server, DB2).
• Proven BI solutions in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into technical designs for BI solutions.
• Apply rapid prototyping and iterative development to keep pace with business needs.
• Design and implement new features for ETL routines loading data into the Data Warehouse.
• Develop and manage BI job scheduling and monitoring.
• Perform performance tuning on the ETL processes.
• Participate in capacity planning for BI, short and long term.
• Develop models, scorecards, and dashboards with drill-down and drill-through.
• Research and resolve data integrity and performance needs.
• Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT delivery teams to meet project goals.
