Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to anchor the Business Intelligence program for the FBI’s Finance & Facilities Division. This on-site role in Washington, DC requires an active Top-Secret clearance and strong stakeholder engagement.

You will gather requirements from federal stakeholders, translate them into technical specs and data blueprints, and collaborate with developers to deliver executive dashboards and KPIs using enterprise BI tools like TIBCO WebFOCUS.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Data Consultant within the federal contracting space.
Excellent verbal and written communication with client-facing training experience.
Ability to translate complex federal processes into clear technical specs, data blueprints, and Agile user stories with acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering with federal stakeholders and translate into technical specs, user stories, and data blueprints.
Design and deliver executive dashboards and BI reports using enterprise BI tools (e.g., TIBCO WebFOCUS).
Serve as the primary interface between technical teams and FBI leadership, communicating capabilities and timelines.
Develop end-user documentation and lead training to enable self-service BI adoption.
Drive Agile workstreams, prioritize backlog, and align sprint goals with project milestones.
