Job summary

Remote Jobs is seeking a Senior Consultant for Business Intelligence and Analytics to guide client projects from a fully remote base in the Philippines. The role emphasizes Power BI mastery, data modeling, and strong client collaboration to deliver robust BI solutions.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with Power BI, SQL Server data warehousing concepts, and Databricks, enabling end-to-end data pipeline development and insightful dashboards for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
Over 5 years of experience with data/BI solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem or equivalent BI platforms, with at least 4 years in leadership roles.
Proficiency in T-SQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI or similar tools.
Strong Power BI reporting capabilities including drill-downs, measures, and dynamic visuals.
Experience with Databricks for building and optimizing data pipelines.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to clients and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery sessions to determine reporting requirements.
Explain and guide licensing options for Power BI to clients.
Design star schema data models and develop Power BI reports and dashboards.
Ingest data from multiple sources, create data models using DAX and queries.
Support deployment of Power BI solutions via the Power BI service, including gateways and DirectQuery.
