Job summary

Penn State Information Technology (PSIT) seeks a Business Intelligence Specialist to support SIMBA and LionPATH initiatives. You will design data models, develop reports and dashboards, and collaborate with business partners to deliver analytics solutions across complex university data sources.

The role requires SAP (SIMBA) and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions experience, PSQuery proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills. Remote, nationwide work within the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• Experience as a data analyst, BI developer, solutions architect, or similar role.
• Experience developing reports, queries, dashboards, and data models in BI platforms.
• Experience with SAP (SIMBA) and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, including strong PSQuery proficiency.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in a dynamic team environment.
• Must be a US citizen to apply.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data models and BI solutions with security and documentation.
• Develop reports, dashboards, datasets, and data transformations using BI tools.
• Analyze processes and data sources to identify reporting strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into specifications.
• Define scope and objectives, and develop analytics applications accordingly.
• Manage data extraction, modeling, testing, and end-user documentation.
• Promote data governance and development standards.
• Troubleshoot data issues to ensure accuracy and reliability in reports.
• Learn and apply new analytics technologies to support evolving needs.
