BlackSky is seeking a Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence to support data-driven decision-making across its space-based intelligence business. You will analyze constellation capacity, customer demand, and product performance using Python, SQL, and Excel-based tools, connecting operational data to business decisions.

The role requires five years in BI/analytics, strong communication, and the ability to translate complex questions into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/technical or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of five years in BI/analytics or data science.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and familiarity with SQL.
• Ability to translate complex business questions into structured analyses.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and independent work capability.
• Willingness to travel ~5% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Translate business questions into structured analytical problems and deliver actionable insights.
• Analyze constellation capacity across geographies and products.
• Own BI datasets and tools to assess customer behavior, revenue, pricing, and operations.
• Maintain Python and SQL workflows on large datasets.
• Collaborate with Product and Sales to evaluate deals and requirements.
• Improve codebase modularity and reproducibility.
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
