CNET Group is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to modernize how data is extracted, automated, and presented. You will be hands-on with SQL, Looker, and AI APIs to deliver a single version of truth to leadership.

The role emphasizes stakeholder management, building scalable dashboards, and mentoring the analytics team, with EST-hours shifts and a focus on business storytelling across Editorial, Sales, and Finance.

Qualifications

3–5 years of hands-on BI analytics or consultative data role.
Advanced Excel modeling and executive slide deck creation.
Experience using AI to automate workflows with APIs and prompts.
Strong SQL on Snowflake/BigQuery/GCP.

Responsibilities

Be a true stakeholder and lead data-driven alignment meetings across all major business dependencies, explaining complex data narratives clearly to non-technical teams.
Connect Snowflake/BigQuery with AI models (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI) via APIs to automate routine data discovery, anomaly detection, and performance summaries.
Develop and optimize Looker Explores and dashboards using LookML to ensure a single, accurate truth for commerce metrics.
Create actionable reports for Editorial, Sales, and Finance with dynamic slicing to uncover root causes and trends.
Implement validation, monitoring, and reconciliation frameworks for data accuracy and consistency.
Run data alignment meetings and drive business conversations with Editorial, SEO, and Product teams.
Mentor the analytics team on generative AI tooling, prompts, and connectors to speed reporting tasks.
