Job summary

Nombase in Hawaii is seeking a Packaging Operator (Level III-V) with beverage manufacturing experience to operate high-speed filling lines, prepare keg and can fillers, and handle daily cleanup and shutdowns.

You will set up lines, conduct changeovers, log downtime and maintenance, and support quality and process improvements while collaborating with packaging, warehouse, maintenance, and quality teams. The role requires attention to detail and adaptability; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior packaging, beverage production, or related manufacturing experience required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with production equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with brewing process controls and basic lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up production lines, conduct change-overs, and perform shut down procedures
• Stage materials and maintain accurate logs of downtime, maintenance, and performance
• Adhere to MBC’s Safety Plan as well as Good Manufacturing Practices as outline in our Quality Manual
• Clean and sanitize equipment, keeping work area neat and organized
• Contribute to SOP development, continuous improvement projects, and efficiency initiatives.
• Support training of new team members.
• Perform and record basic production and quality measurements using brewery lab and testing equipment
• Maintain accurate production records, logs, and operational data within brewery software systems
• Follow quality assurance procedures and support product consistency initiatives
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and waste reduction
• Communicate production concerns, material needs, or scheduling issues proactively
• Collaborate with brewing, packaging, warehouse, maintenance, and quality teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
• Support raw material staging, inventory movement, and general production support as required
