Job summary

ETS is seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to lead health and wellness program administration, focusing on ACA, ERISA, and FMLA compliance. You will optimize benefits delivery, manage vendors, and improve employee experience across the workforce.

The Senior Benefits Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, US Benefits


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Play a critical role in ensuring that the administration efficiently and effectively implements exciting and meaningful health and wellness programs that attract, motivate, and retain talent.

  • The Senior Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.

  • This role requires a deep understanding of benefits regulations such as ACA, ERISA, and FMLA, as well as strong analytical skills to evaluate program effectiveness.

  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to build positive relationships with employees and vendors.

  • Proficiency in benefits administration software and project management skills are essential to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service is crucial in addressing employee benefits related inquiries and concerns.

  • Assist in the evaluation and administration of health and wellness programs

  • Apply concepts and methods that will improve employee experience with health and wellness benefits provided by the company

  • Support the implementation of any new platforms or technologies that administers the health and wellness programs

  • Provide operations excellence and analytical insights in the administration of benefits and wellness programs that help attract, develop and retain top talent

  • Conduct periodic audits

  • Improve employee experience in enrolling and utilizing the health & wellness program

  • Interact with vendors and external partners that deliver or support the health & wellness programs

  • Assist in the development of open enrollment processes including communications, vendor coordination, meetings, audits; process disability for multistate employer

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure proper reconciliation and premium payment of benefit plans and programs are maintained and accurate

  • Day-to-day processing of group benefits (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, flexible spending plan, 401k, non-qualified plan/ retirement plans

  • Process routine accounts payable activities for the Benefits Department, such as retirement plan funding, processing invoices and preparing payment requests for the Finance Department

  • Maintain proper documents to ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for yearly 5500 audits

  • Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities

  • AI-Assisted Data Analysis: Ability to leverage AI-supported reporting, data visualization, and trend analysis tools to identify benefits utilization patterns, cost drivers, audit exceptions, and opportunities to improve plan administration.

  • Prompting and AI-Enhanced Communication: Skill in drafting, refining, and validating AI-assisted employee communications, FAQs, summaries, and vendor correspondence to ensure accuracy, clarity, and an employee-friendly tone. ta privacy, bias awareness, vendor oversight, and compliance with applicable plan and regulatory requirements.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Minimum 7 years of Human Resources/Generalist experience, preferably in a growing, multistate organization or 5 years of relevant experience in Benefits

  • Experience in multistate benefits administration/analysis and compliance regulations

  • Track record in managing projects and programs to successful completion

  • Experience in working in complex and dynamic environments

  • Strong proficiency in reporting, Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and other Microsoft products a must, as is knowledge of carrier feeds/integrations

  • The base salary range advertised represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The base pay is only one aspect of the Total Rewards Package that will be offered to the successful candidate.
