Design studies from hypotheses through analysis and communication, using experimental, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches to uncover what drives meaningful social change.

You will partner with program, communications, advocacy, and research teams to translate findings into stronger strategies and measurable outcomes, and

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent advanced research training in a relevant social science field.
• Ability to design and execute original research independently.
• Experience with applied social/behavioral research including experiments and quasi-experiments.
• Strong quantitative analysis, causal inference, and evidence evaluation.
• Proven ability to communicate complex findings clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end applied research projects, from questions to communication.
• Design and analyze randomized trials, field experiments, and surveys.
• Integrate quantitative and qualitative methods to understand drivers and intervention effects.
• Develop meaningful measures of attitudes, behaviors, and program impact.
• Identify high-value research questions and opportunities for decarbonization research.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate priorities into research initiatives.
• Build and manage partnerships with academics, vendors, and external researchers.
• Exercise independent scientific judgment on evidence and conclusions.
• Translate research into actionable findings, reports, and presentations.
• Contribute to behavioral science as a tool for large-scale social and environmental change.
