Job summary

Gatik is seeking ML engineers to own the architecture, design, implementation, and delivery of a multi-modal behavior prediction system for autonomous trucks. The role is onsite in Santa Clara, CA, working on large-scale image and LiDAR data and integrating prediction modules into the autonomous driving stack.

Ideal candidates have Ph.D. with 3+ years or a Master’s with 5+ years in ML, with experience in LSTM, Transformer, Python, C++, and TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Qualifications

• PhD with 3+ years of industry experience OR Master’s with 5+ years in relevant field.
• Experience with behavior prediction for autonomous driving.
• Proficiency in Python and C++; deep learning frameworks TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Develop key modules of the behavior prediction system.
• Create and maintain software infrastructure for large-scale image and LiDAR data.
• Design and optimize data preprocessing, model training, and inference pipelines.
• Train advanced models (LSTM, Transformer) and evaluate performance.
• Build scalable training/evaluation tools for rapid iteration.
• Integrate behavior prediction with the autonomous driving stack and perform system tests.
