As a Behavior Planning Engineer on our ADAS Autonomous Driving Team, you will be responsible for managing the software stack and introducing new algorithms for the purpose of improved customer experience. Additionally, you will conduct data analysis to extract critical scenarios from fleet data and simulation data, contributing to the enhancement of our autonomous driving system’s decision-making capabilities. • Conduct research to come up with state-of-the-art machine learning based planning and prediction solutions and have the drive and expertise to take such solution to production.

Qualifications

Must haves

• Proficiency in C++ & Python, with 3+ years of academic/industry experience specifically with relevant libraries used for data analysis and management.
• Demonstrated expertise in software design principles, with a focus on creating scalable and efficient data management systems.
• Understanding and exposure to non-ML planning methods.
• Conduct research to come up with state-of-the-art machine learning based planning and prediction solutions and have the drive and expertise to take such solution to production.

Preferable

• 3+ years of academic/industry experience in ML development, with a solid understanding of its applications in large-scale data systems.
• Experience with porting trained models to embedded platforms and solid fundamentals in c++.
• Background in one of these areas' perception, environment modeling , prediction or planning as part of ADAS/AD software stack or equivalent robotic applications.
• Experience Large scale data processing for perception and planning stack in Autonomous Driving or other robotic applications is a plus.
• Academic or practical experience in imitation learning, reinforcement learning, simulation etc.

Education

BS or MS/PhD (preferred) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Data Science.

Salary Range

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$158,400—$217,800 USD

Compensation & Benefits

Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
