Job summary

The Senior Enterprise Batch Operations Analyst will act as the senior technical expert for enterprise batch processing, workload automation, and production operations at HHSC in Austin. You will coordinate daily batch schedules, troubleshoot complex failures, and mentor junior staff while ensuring high availability.

This role requires a strong background in batch workflows, incident management, and automation, with collaboration across development, database, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in enterprise application support, batch processing, workload automation, or production operations.
• A degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or engineering is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience leading IT teams would be acceptable in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and optimize enterprise batch processing and workload automation to meet SLAs.
• Provide production support and incident management for batch failures and outages.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
• Coordinate releases and disaster recovery activities while maintaining runbooks and documentation.
• Mentor junior analysts and share knowledge across teams.
