The Florida Bar in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a Senior Bar Counsel – Rules to shape Florida’s court rules. You will finalize petitions, manage committee dockets, coordinate meetings, and keep the Supreme Court filings and rules up to date. Travel and collaboration with judiciary are required.

Requires a JD and Florida Bar admission, with 3+ years of attorney experience and 4+ years in legal writing/editing/research. Starting salary ranges from $79,822 to $87,805 with comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Juris Doctor and member in good standing of The Florida Bar.
• Three years or more of legal experience as an attorney and four years in legal writing/editing/research.
• Knowledge of Florida Bar rules, rulemaking process, and Supreme Court guidelines.
• Exceptional writing and editing with attention to grammar, style and detail.

Responsabilidades

• Finalize and file petitions, comments, and pleadings with the Supreme Court of Florida.
• Manage the committees' docket, help chairs meet deadlines, inform the department head.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, and post materials online.
• Maintain official records of committee business and Supreme Court filings.
• Monitor case law and legislative material to keep rules current.
• Advise on committee member appointments and respond to public inquiries.
